Sophie Wadsworth
Executive Director

Sophie has been the Executive Director of The Nature Connection since 2010, and a member of the staff since 2008. She brings over 15 years of non-profit fundraising, publicity, and education experience to her work. She serves as Secretary on a board that stewards the Meteor Crater in Arizona, and is a founding member of Walden Keeping Track, a wildlife habitat monitoring program in Concord, Massachusetts. Sophie has a BA in History from Trinity College. A published poet, with a masters degree in literature, Sophie has also taught extra-curricular classes in creative writing at Harvard Medical School.
Jennifer Johnson
Development and Outreach Director
Jennifer has been the Development and Outreach Director of The Nature Connection since 2012. She brings over a decade of for profit and not-for-profit experience to NC, most recently as Marketing Director for the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center in Mystic, Connecticut. She holds a BS in communications, from Boston University, and has pursued post graduate work in grant writing, accounting, and business law. Jennifer serves on the steering committee for the Playscape at Ripley, a new nature park for all ages and abilities being developed in Concord, and is a Board Member At Large for the Concord-Carlisle Newcomers and Neighbors Club.
Suzan Baltozer
Program Coordinator
Suzan became a Program Coordinator for The Nature Connection in 2008. She holds degrees in Biology and Fine Art and brings over 15 years of experience and skills in the areas of teaching and counseling youth at risk and with disabilities, as well as adults. For over a decade, Su has taught at Access to Theater, an award-winning program of Partners for Youth with Disabilities. She also brings to her programming many years’ expertise in the study of medicinal plants, both in New England and Ecuador.
Kinsey Rosene
Program Coordinator
Kinsey joined The Nature Connection as Program Coordinator in summer 2014, bringing 10 years experience and expertise in building efficient systems for small businesses and developing art class curriculums for diverse populations. She worked on the Resident Opportunities and Self Sufficiency program in Tucson, AZ creating resident empowerment programs, and is currently working one- on-one with elders transitioning into assisted living. Kinsey has studied art history and merchandising, and is continuing her education in herbal medicine.
Polly Meyer
Volunteer Coordinator
Polly became The Nature Connection’s new Volunteer Coordinator in the summer of 2014. She has been an active with several local organizations as a board member, committee chair and volunteer. These include Milldam Nursery School, Willard Elementary School PTG, CCHS Parents Association, Center for Parents and Teachers, Emerson Hospital Auxiliary, Concord Museum, CC Youth Soccer and TriCon Church. Polly graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a BA in Economics Management. Prior to starting a family, she was in direct marketing for Williams-Sonoma catalog and The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
