Becky Harris
Becky has been volunteering for the Nature Connection since winter 2015, enjoying her time socializing with Crow, NC's wild, non-releasable bird, once a week. She has a PhD in biology, and currently teaches Conservation Biology at Tufts Center for Conservation Medicine, Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Previously, she was the Director of Mass Audubon's Coastal Waterbird Program, overseeing the protection and monitoring of approximately half the state's threatened Piping Plovers as well as other beach-nesting birds. She is focusing on raising her two young daughters now, and is happy to be part of an organization that plays such an important role in making nature accessible to all.
