Deborah Gerstein

From a young age Deborah was drawn to nature and growing things. She majored in biology and, after a few years of doing research work, she found her “calling” as a teacher. She serves as a Nature Connection program volunteer for both youth and elder programs, and also volunteers for Garden in the Woods. As she says, “Volunteering allows me to continue sharing and exploring with others as they connect to nature, each other, and themselves.”
